Speck iPod Mini Case - Well the iPod Mini is hot and so are the cases. Speck was the first to release Skin cases from the Mini Ipod. The Speck Mini iPod cases are available in 5 colors (Clear, Pink, Blue, Green and Gold). The Mini iPod slides into the case through a slotted opening on the bottom of the case. The Mini Skin includes a lanyard strap for wearing the ipod around your neck. The case is made from tear-resistant Kraton plastic. Specks cases feel like a thick rubber barrier around your mini ipod. The case looks very high quality and should hold up over time. The iPod mini case allows access to the iPod's control wheel for free access to the controls. There are also openings on the top for headphones and hold switch, on the bottom there is access to the docking connector to allow charging and syncing via the included firewire / USB cable.
iSkin EXO - The EXO case was truly an innovator in the iPod case industry. The EXO took the best from the previous version of iSkin cases and incorporated the requests from the iPod community. This was the first silicone iPod case to screen protection via the iShade screen protector and a removable belt clip. The EXO is a 2mm silicone barrier that surrounds your iPod and keeps it safe from bumps, scratches and accidental drops. With the screen protector now even the LCD display can be keep free of those nasty scratches. With the removable belt clip you can choose to clip on your ipod or remove the clip and post and the EXO will slide into your pocket for a clean look. EXO provides access to all button and ports with openings that fit exactly to your iPod. There are openings for the headphones, hold switch, docking/charging connector and all of the normal control buttons and wheel. The iSkin EXO case is available in 40+ colors including glow in the dark colors and newly added art cases. The iSkin EXO was co-designed and manufacturer by iSkin & Lajo Cases. The two parties have since split and now produce cases separately.
iSkin EXO2 - iSkin inc. took everything that they learned from the very popular EXO cases and released a redesigned iSkin EXO2 case. The iSkin EXO2 offers some of the most popular requests from iPod users. EXO2 offers a newly designed belt clip called the revo clip. The revo clip is made from metal and is also completely removable, to allow a flat smooth surface on the back of the ipod case. The included hand strap is a nice feature to allow for added safety while carrying your iPod. The hand strap allows you to connect the strap to the included belt clip and then slide the strap around your wrist for added safety. The EXO2 also includes beveled access holes for the control buttons and the hold switch. This allows for easier access to these options for users with larger fingers. The EXO2 is currently available in 4 colors (Carbon, Ebony, Arctic and Sonic).
xSkn EXO2 -Lajo the co-designer of the original EXO case, used his ideas to build upon the original EXO iPod case. The xSkn EXO2 cases offers all of the same features as the original EXO and now includes full protection. The EXO2 now offers silicone covered control buttons and wheel. With these areas covered this is one multi-purpose iPod case. You no longer have to worry about the screen or buttons being scratched upon. This this is a body guard for your iPod. The xSkn EXO2 still offers 2mm thickness of protection. Another bonus is that this version of the EXO2 is able to use the same accessories as the original EXO. So those belt clips and screen protectors can now be exchanged between cases. The silicone covering over the buttons does reduce the sensitivity a little but does not render them useless.
xSkn EXO3 -Well give Lajo enough free time and he will come up with another great idea. The EXO3 is a slim version iPod Case. The EXO 3 Case provides a .7mm silicone skin that covers your iPod. This case is so thin that you can even read the writing on the back of your iPod. The EXO3 offers covered buttons like the EXO2 does, but is a thinner version and does not have the belt clip mount on the back. With the belt clip removed from the EXO3 design Lajo was able to create a super thin case that provides a flat smooth surface on all sides of the case. Currently the EXO3 iPod case is available in 8 colors and will grow as production can keep up with the demand. A huge bonus feature of this iPod case is that you will be able to use accessories that you could not with other cases. Since the EXO3 is so this it allows for the connection of iPod accessories to the top of the iPod. One of the most popular iPod accessories, the Griffin iTrip2 was not able to work with previous cases. They were just too thick.
iPod Armor -Well there is a reason they named it iPod Armor. This case is like having a bullet proof vest or armored truck around your iPod. To make it simple the Armor case is a hard iPod case that works great for sports, exercise or any environment where the iPod may take excessive abuse. The iPod is enclosed into a padded aluminum shell that surrounds the ipod and only allows access to the iPod through the flip open door or the ports on the top and bottom of the iPod case. The only real downside to this case is that to control the iPod you must open the case to access the controls or use the wired iPod remote from Apple. This is not a problem if you plan on putting the case in your pocket while skiing or tossing into in your backpack while hiking. If you need tank like protection this is the iPod case you need.
